The second ‘Bug we owned, also purchased from Hal MacDonald.  10 flight hours after the new cowl and paint job, the airframe was bent in a successful off airport landing with a not so successful stop into a pasture fence.  After some thought, the decision was made to salvage the fuselage and motor as a starting point for a new aircraft that would incorporate all the mods we had fantasized about over the years of ‘Bug flying.
