This fine example of a ‘Bug was purchased partially completed from Hal MacDonald in 1982.  It first flew in 1983 and was a great way to bore holes in the sky and chase jackrabbits.  It was sold in 1990 and the new owner converted it to a taildragger with a military paint scheme.  We don’t know how well this worked out, but the ‘Bug was always short coupled and spooky at low speed, so it must have made a ‘hot’ taildragger.
